Eden Lost

Since January of this year I have taken the challenge to create and sell my own rug hooking patterns. This has kept me quite busy. I have finished up 7 new designs and will be displaying them here on my blog a little at a time. This one is called Eden Lost.

I outlined all of the shapes using a #4 strip. It helped the shapes to pop out.
Here is a little find that I picked  up in Bend, Oregon. Not sure what it was for but the seat opens up and you can store stuff in it. Kind of like a piano bench. I designed and hooked the cover then  waxed over the wood. I think it can out real cute. I have it under an old pioneer desk that I picked up at the thrift store I think they were made for each other.

I have my creative man making reproductions of this and other finds I will be showing later. On May 19th is the Denver Hook-In I will be bring this and other fun projects to sell. Can't wait I love the Denver Hook-In but then again my heart will always be in Colorado.

  2. Visiting from Mindy, Middle Sister. The rug she showed on her blog was just fabulous. I don't do rugs, but love to see all the different designs, and I love wood work. Your husband must be very talented indeed. Looking forward to seeing more of your posts.

  3. Happy to see your blog. Your rugs and your husband's cabinetry are both really nice. I especially like your pattern that you mounted to the low stool. With shorter legs, that would also make a very nice footstool as an option. Looking forward to seeing your wares for sale on the blog. Are you on Ebay or Etsy yet?

Best wishes for your new endeavors,
    jan
